Community Strategic Planning Toolkit for Employment and Training, Human Resource Development Canada, 1999. We designed and developed a planning toolkit and facilitated planning sessions across Canada for Aboriginal organizations involved with the implementation of 5-year Aboriginal Human Resource Development Strategy (AHRDS). Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. Our partners have worked since 1979 to support the development of Aboriginal communications in Canada . Two decades of effort culminated in 1999, when the CRTC approved a national broadcast license for the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. Just six months later, APTN was launched to over 8 million homes throughout Canada via cable television, direct-to-home and wireless service viewers. We continued to worked closely with the network following its launch, developing programming, governance and management policies and procedures and providing strategic and operational planning support. Aboriginal Youth Net; Microworks; Ottawa, Canada; 1995; We designed and created an interactive, multimedia Website for Aboriginal Youth which included a training module for native teen-agers on solvent abuse. The site was subsequently awarded an international Microsoft award for excellence. You can visit the site, meet " Wayne ", and see what Aboriginal youth from across Canada think about this issue. Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge. We prepared a comprehensive business and marketing plan for Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge, one of the most successful and exciting eco-tourism attractions in the North.
